Maribel Perez Wadsworth is Senior Vice President & Chief Strategy Officer at Gannett, where she has worked for 20 years. She started her Gannett career as a business reporter at the Register Star in Rockford, Ill. After working for 14 years in a variety of roles at community news organizations, she joined Gannett's corporate news team as digital news executive in 2009. In 2014, Maribel was named corporate staffer of the year. She lives in Ashburn, Va., with her husband, Chris, and their three sons.
