WASHINGTON – U.S. Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross today announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.3 million grant to the city of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, to replace the city’s ageing waste water treatment facility to better serve the local community.
“The Trump Administration is committed to not only retaining jobs in this country, but also to creating new opportunities through infrastructure improvements,” said Secretary Ross. “I look forward to seeing how Bull Shoals’ improved water system will help businesses grow and thrive.”
The new waste water system will help attract new businesses and provide incentive for job creation among existing businesses, potential manufacturers, and entrepreneurs. The project will also help protect the White River - one of the premier trout fishing destinations in the United States – from catastrophe in the event of the failure of the current system. Millions of tourists visit Bull Shoals Lake and the White River each year.
