U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $1.5 Million to Support Manufacturing Business Growth in Conway, Arkansas
WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.5 million grant to the city of Conway, Arkansas, to construct water and sewer infrastructure improvements.
This grant will support manufacturing business growth at the Conway Industrial Park, improve fire flow to city residents, and support additional redevelopment projects. This EDA investment will be matched with $2.1 million in local funds.
“The Biden-Harris Administration is dedicated to help make communities in Arkansas and across the country stronger and more resilient,” said Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo. “This EDA investment will support major upgrades to Conway’s water and sewer infrastructure, providing the foundation for sustainable regional economic growth.”
“The Economic Development Administration works closely with communities to support locally led economic development,” said Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development Alejandra Y. Castillo. “This project will support business growth and public safety, creating jobs and strengthening the regional economy.”

Conway has consistently done an excellent job providing both to advance opportunities that benefit the community and region. I’m pleased this investment will expand that potential, spur business development and enhance water systems by partnering with the city and private industry,” said Senator John Boozman.
