WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding $8.4 million in American Rescue Plan grants to support North Carolina as it recovers from the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

As the United States continues to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, the $3 billion allocated to the Economic Development Administration (EDA) under President Biden’s American Recue Plan is allowing the bureau to make once-in-a-generation investments to dramatically transform America’s communities during this critical moment in our history.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.5 million grant to the Multi-Assistance Center at Morgan’s Wonderland, San Antonio, Texas, to construct an Ambulatory Surgical Center. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan.

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.5 million grant to Andrews Economic Development Corporation, Andrews, Texas, for critical infrastructure to support a new business park. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan.

Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.9 million grant to Williston State College, Williston, North Dakota, to acquire new equipment need to support workforce training programs. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan and EDA’s $300 million Coal Communities Commitment.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $2.8 million grant to the Yadkin Valley Telephone Membership Corporation, Yadkinville, North Carolina, to construct a fiber optic network to enhance business connectivity. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $5 million grant to the city of Hazard, Kentucky, for construction of a new water treatment plant and ancillary infrastructure. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan and EDA’s $300 million Coal Communities Commitment.

Raimondo announced that the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.8 million grant to the city of Covington, Kentucky, to support infrastructure design for the redevelopment of a vacant complex. This grant is funded by the American Rescue Plan.
