WASHINGTON – Today, the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding an $800,000 grant to The Industrial Commons in Morganton, North Carolina, to support textile manufacturing in the region.

WASHINGTON, D.C. —Today, the Economic Development Administration (EDA) announced that Cristina Killingsworth will assume the role of Acting Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development, leading the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), effective immediately. EDA was led by Assistant Secretary Alejandra Castillo from August 2021 to August 2024.
