Senior U.S. Department of Commerce Official Visits PRBio Tech Hub in Puerto Rico

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, Cristina Killingsworth, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy and External Affairs, performing the non-exclusive functions and duties of the Assistant Secretary for Economic Development, at the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA), visited the PRBio Tech Hub in Puerto Rico. The Biden-Harris Administration, through the EDA, designated the PRBio Tech Hub, a coalition led by the Puerto Rico Science, Technology and Research Trust, as a Tech Hub in October 2023.

U.S. Department of Commerce Invests $1.5 Million to Capitalize Revolving Loan Fund to Support Small Businesses in Massachusetts

WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced the Department’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) is awarding a $1.5 million grant to the South Eastern Economic Development Corporation in Taunton, Massachusetts, to capitalize and administer a Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) serving small businesses across eight Massachusetts counties.
