This EDA investment will support the University of Missouri-Kansas City Innovation Center (UMKC IC), in collaboration with key partners, to scale Kansas City’s regional assets in technology entrepreneurship and digital health to advance Digital Health KC. This project aims to unite regional stakeholders to increase collaboration and expand Kansas City’s burgeoning digital health cluster.

The program will connect new and existing digital health companies, their workforce, customers, and supply chains and build programming to increase the understanding of the unique aspects of building healthcare solutions and selling into the healthcare market. The system will coalesce industry-specific mentors, support for business acumen and modeling and connections to investors, customers, and available talent. Over three years, the project looks to have 120 companies actively participating in the cluster, 20 new startups, 15 completed beta customer projects, $45 million in debt/equity investment, and 500 new jobs for the Kansas City region.
