PBCP will focus on increasing the region’s resiliency, through projects that (1) benefit distressed communities and underserved populations, (2) link the workforce to education and training, (3) support commercialization opportunities, (4) aid entrepreneurship, and (5) support regenerative economic development leading to environmental and social benefits such as food and water security, renewable energy, health security and disaster preparedness. The long-term economic impact is the creation of a more sustainable, resilient, and equitable future for the region’s people, economies, and island environments. The PBCP will: (1) provide technical assistance, (2) conduct applied research and develop innovation ecosystems, and (3) disseminate information and results of the PBCP’s activities, with the overall goal of economic recovery and resiliency in the region.
