The University of Montana’s EDA-supported University Center, named the Accelerate Montana’s Rural Innovation Initiative (AMRII) focuses on advancing entrepreneurship across Montana. Specifically, AMRII’s interventions targeted at helping early-stage rural, women owned and Indigenous owned businesses in Montana achieve sustainable growth by improving the conditions under which business financing will flow. Activities address the issue from two sides of the problem: 1) entrepreneurial capital readiness and 2) funder readiness to lend and invest in rural, women and Native entrepreneurs in Montana.
