EDA announced one investment from December 1-6, 2022, for $206,738, which is matched by $51,685. This Economic Adjustment Assistance project will help communities design and implement strategies to adjust or bring about change to their economy in response to structural damage to their underlying economic base, as follows:

• $206,738, matched by $51,685 in local investment, to the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, Orlando/Orange County, Florida, to support the hiring of a Disaster Recovery Coordinator to support long-term economic recovery and resiliency activities in the east central Florida region. The project will result in the region having a resource to prepare for response to and recovery from future disasters, which will boost employment opportunities in the area and help attract private investment to diversify the local economy.
