Duties:

As an Economic Development Representative, you will:

  • Perform complex business and program management regulatory oversight or similar work requiring an understanding of associated functions of mission elements critical to agency priorities and objectives. Represents the agency authoritatively to key government and business officials and organizations plans and manages delivery of major, high priority products and services which are central to agency objectives.
  • Serve as first line of contact on development activity related to all EDA programs, advises applicants and grantees, establishes planning coordinating activities and implementation of projects in his/her area. Independently assumes responsibility for higher complex program management or analytical work addressing critical issues or mission objectives.
  • Analyze and communicate sound and authoritative recommendations on highly complex and sensitive economic development business/industry issues/policies, applying creativity, judgment, and recognized expertise to realize key objectives including project development.
  • Communicate with all levels of the employing organization; other involved federal agencies and institutions; state and local governments; key officials of businesses and of business/industry association; to foreign counterparts; and to congressional staff personnel.
