The Massachusetts Digital Health COVID-19 Recovery Challenge program will conduct two statewide sourcing, acceleration, and validation cycles to accelerate digital health innovations supporting family caregivers and healthcare providers in Massachusetts.
Participating entrepreneurs will be supported with a virtual acceleration program that includes expert mentorship and a validated curriculum. The most promising solutions in the accelerator will be further supported with concrete research and development projects to validate and test their innovative products and help get them to market more quickly. The Challenge will be particularly interested in innovations that support infection control, caregiver coordination, remote monitoring and care, and the use of artificial intelligence for predictive diagnostics and treatment recommendations.
To deliver this ambitious program, the Massachusetts eHealth Institute at the MassTech Collaborative, a state economic development agency in Massachusetts, will build on existing, highly successful relationships and state economic development capacity. Key partners are Lever, a business accelerator and innovation support organization, and the Massachusetts Digital Health Sandbox Network, a group of nine cutting-edge research and development facilities that provide environments and expertise to test and validate digital health products and services.
